The seemingly logical conclusion is that the first car hides the ghost car as it enters the intersection on red. Then the ghost car slips between the two cars.
HOWEVER after the first car gets out of the way (and we can see the stopped oncoming traffic again) there is a period of time where the ghost car should have appeared sooner given its speed.
