The Russian people have the potential to be a great people, but not under Putin and his mobster oligarchs.
Putin's Russia isn't a great nation. It isn't even a good or OK nation.
Russia is a failing nation and soon to be a failed state...its economy is failing, its population has shrunk, its men die young of alcoholism, its smartest people leave, it has one economic sector: natural resources, it has the greatest economic inequality, its military is weak...and to keep its neighbors in its sphere of influence, it has to invade them and steal their land.
Russi a is failing. It is a pariah, the new Zimbabwe.
