If i'm not mistaken, the people in Kiev (who by the way came there from all over the country) wanted to just overthrow the corrupt government. They are now going to hold nation-wide elections.
But the separatist group of people in eastern Ukraine, well they just wanna straight up give away a huge chunk of territory to the Russians, which is simply unacceptable.
If they don't agree with something they should hold elections or referendum. Hell, just march on Kiev and overthrow the new government
if enough people support them. The thing is, they are a tiny minority and the majority of eastern ukrainian people don't support them. Putin and his russian KGB are inciting revolts there on purpose.
