with that logic, nothing is pollution, because it was always 'a part of nature'?

The definition of pollution is:

the presence in or introduction into the environment of a substance or thing that has harmful or poisonous effects.

and your position is, because it already exists, the massive increase we are causing 'isn't pollution'.
