I'm guessing you weren't in the biz back in the VISA crackdown days - this is just before and during implementation of their annual fee - when processors started dropping like flies. Generally the first hints were similar to what's going on with Zombaio, and like now there were plenty of people "hoping" things turned out alright (I was one of them). Of course they didn't. If I processed with Zombaio I'd make sure - outside of trying to get any outstanding balances sent ASAP - that I wasn't processing any new rebilling accounts with them.
Since those days, some processors have tried to get around those fees (and now the MC one) but it never works long-term, they always go under and it ends up being the small webmasters who were too cheap to pay who suffer (again, I've been there). Suck it up, pay the fees, and go with a major stable processor, that's my advice.
