It really isn't. People who work for a living like to imagine that they get along with their co-workers and even in some cases enjoy their company, but most wouldn't voluntarily interact with the people they work with if they weren't paid to do it.
Motive is less important than coercion or lack thereof. If an escort wants to be an escort, why are you telling her she effectively doesn't exist?
