That's why I'm seriously considering 8.1. I don't generally like a brand spanking new OS release, but I don't want to go with 7 and then have to upgrade again in a few years because Microsoft is ceasing support for it.
I have an unopened 8.1 retail box sitting here, still undecided whether to install that, or try to find a legitimate/legal way to install 7.
