I almost did. I used to skate after I came back from a FL vacation as a kid. But I didn't read the papers. And they introduced speed bumps. And I was zooming down my favorite big hill. And then my knees were up at my ears. And the light at the top of the street turned green. And with bloody knees and torn jeans, after I stopped rolling, I realized a stampede of cars and buses and trucks and cabs was rolling right down on me.
I got out, my board was safe, but frack it was scary. And I'm not even so sure they pr'ed the new speed bump thing to this day...
