..and the EU buys from Russia because it's cheaper..if Russia tries to play price war on the EU then the EU will stop buying and Russia will be stuck trying to offload their oil at what ever price they can get. Negative actions by Russia harm Russia as much or more than anyone else. That is the power of globalization..
Yes Russia could harm the EU on short term with price gouging but in the long run Russia loses.
