Well you probably don't need me to explain this, but... the whole slavery thing and then Jim Crow, segregation, etc, in the generations following is still a pretty raw wound in the USA and the guilt is still very much there. Jews, Holocaust, goes without saying. So double standard, yes, but there are reasons and it's just something you gotta get used to
But the guy who posted that seems to hate everything and everyone, and is probably a little insane. IMO the board would be a better place with less of that venom spewing, sadly I don't call the shots tho.
On Crimea - looks good for Russia now, I do kinda suspect there will be unexpected ripple effects that we'll see as time passes. Everyone here is so quick to judge events as they happen but that's never how history works, looking back even just a few months or years later you can see things in a totally different light.
