Well MANY weeks I worked 43-45 hours in a week and they would ask me to doctor my time card and gave me the extra hours on the beginning of the next week.

I worked for Radio Shack for a few years in the early 1990's. About a year after starting the store I worked in moved to a new location. The store was small so it was just me, one other salesman, and the manager.
Every night for 2 weeks we worked at least 1-2 hours getting the new place set up then we worked out asses off over the Easter weekend to move locations. The district manager screwed us and got us no help and no moving van. I literally worked from about noon on Saturday until 6pm on Sunday straight through.
When the end of the pay period came they pulled me into the office and asked me to not claim all those hours I worked. When I told them I worked them, I was claiming them, they actually threatened to fire me. I offered to spread them out over a few weeks if they would rather, but they thought I should work for free because this new store was giving me more opportunity to make sales.
It was crazy and they were pissed for a long time when I claimed the hours.
