Sure, if you are not a kid and you are working at a place like McDonalds there will be some people (likely younger people) who will make fun of you. And there are some people who will make fun of anyone that does a job that they consider beneath them. It just seems like in the last few years a sort of anger towards these people has emerged. I think part of it is that there recently has been more talk about the business practices of these companies (like McDonalds and Walmart) and there have been more cases of people working at these places talking about how they want to earn more money.
Maybe I am reading too much into it, but it just seems like things have gone to a whole new level.
