Jesus christ you guys...
First off, the recording the OP posted happened a month ago. It's been discussed on here, it's old news, and if you don't think diplomats of all countries say "fuck so-and-so leader" or "fuck so-and-so country" when they're frustrated and don't realize they're being recorded..... I dunno what to tell you. It's non-news.
The Estonian foreign minister thing - it's just a dude speculating. There's no fact or substance, "it's just like his opinion, man". Where in any of that is any compelling evidence or anything?
So many of you people are acting like you're being all subversive, but you're really just spouting off more excuses for a powerful country to deploy troops in a sovereign neighbor and intimidate them. The Western media sure as hell distorts things according to its agenda, but you think RT - the media propaganda wing of the Russian government - doesn't???
I live in the West but I sure as hell marched & protested against USA action in Iraq and Afghanistan. I had friends in Serbia during the NATO bombing. My own family lives in the weird limbo of a US Commonwealth (Puerto Rico) and many of them are pro-independence (or were, until the economy went south, currently it's not in their interest anymore). I am very very critical of US and Western foreign policy and the double standard applied, and yes, the indignance of the West is a bit hypocritical.
That being said, what Putin is doing is wrong. Just as the West was wrong in those previous cases. Everyone gets so wrapped up in their tribal ties and their ego involved with ideology, they miss the forest for the trees. Big countries shouldn't bully little countries. End of story.
