Question is how long till one or another happens. Until then it is speculative play money which value is based on how many people want to play.
B is more likely than A.

I think thats only partly true.
The internet has not rendered newspapers and magazines obsolete, however I think we all agree that it has taken a major part in today's news coverage (and much more than that).
I would say its going to be one of these:
a) Bitcoin revolutionizes the global market's payments and will become a very useful instrument
b) Bitcoin will crash to 0.
In my opinion, a) is more likely than b).
