28-year-old Meagan Simmons has filed a lawsuit in Hillsborough County against a background check website, stating that they used her attractive mugshot photo for advertising purposes.
The mother of four claims that the website InstantCheckmate.com did not compensate her or even ask her permission to use the photo. She says the exposure has disturbed her peace of mind, caused her mental anguish, and is an invasion of privacy.
The photo was taken during a 2010 DUI charge.
