And really, even if it was only MSNBC that was reporting this, don't you think that maybe, just maybe, people in power like this guy should maybe just start paying some attention to scientists? Or do you not care that assholes like him are responsible for ruining the planet?

He is a low-level state representative of a state with minimal power. I would be shocked if he was responsible for replacing the toilet paper after he used the last square.

The real problem with "news" like this is the same problem that conspiracy theorists have. A conspiracy theorist will have 20, 30, maybe even 50 different conspiracies running around in their head at any given time and they will be telling you about every single one of these conspiracies nonstop. Out of those 50, 5-10 of them could actually be legitimate and something that people should really be looking into. Unfortunately for our theorist friend, nobody is listening to him any longer. The boy cried Wolf one too many times.
