Sid70- I really don't know how many ways you need this stated. It's getting to the point where you are being wilfully ignorant. The animal was killed behind a screen, an AUTOPSY was performed for those members of the public who CHOSE to go. The animal was then butchered behind closed doors to be fed to the big cats. It was NOT butchered in front of anyone. Saying otherwise is intentionally lying.
As others have said, kids on farms see this from a very young age. When I was a boy I helped my dad skin and butcher several cows and one pig. I am not ill, I have not hurt anyone, I am a normal, reasonably adjusted, reasonable, rational human being.

The best response I think I can give, to gain a little perspective here, is this: People who run the zoo and breeding program have spent more money on, and time in, uni/college than most doctors do, they often have spent more than a year volunteering at game reserves in Africa, their whole lives revolve around the animals that they are looking after. The zoo is part of an international program and has several levels of oversight and several committees for any major decision. Do you really honestly believe they do not have the best interest of the animal and the species at heart? Do you really honestly believe that you know more/ better than these people? Do you really honestly believe that every option was not exhaustively researched? And lastly, do you really honestly believe that having read a thread on a porn industry forum, and MAYBE one or two articles, that you know more about what they should have done than they do?
Because I dont. I'm fairly sure that the best person to believe is an expert in their field. If you want legal advice, you go to a lawyer, right? If you want financial advice, you go to an accountant. If you want advice about your pet you go to a vet. Well, these people are more specialised than a vet, more passionate than a vet, more educated than a vet, and more in contact with other experts in their field.
