To complain about one niche case of killing an animal to protect others is ludicrous, especially since there are hundreds of millions of battery hens currently kept in the worst conditions possible for the purposes of farming their eggs.
It always amazes me how people get so angry about the death of one animal, yet always seem to be ones who consume eggs and milk.
I don't know about you, but I'd rather be shot in the head instantly rather than have my nipples pumped daily or my ability to move while I shit eggs reduced to zero.
