Yes I do agree with you, the very first idea for logo design is always the best idea to play arround with, changing colors, some minor tweaks etc. All othes are just made under different impressions looking into other's designs and based on contest owner comments. So it is best to stick arround with first concept and just tweak it.
I honestly think that Stoka's design was better than my second submission so OP choosed right design. This was my fav from the beginning btw.
You had a good design and I liked some of lucas131 submitted entires also.
Anyway it was a fun competition and I enjoyed to be a part of it.
