That's why, as a Jew, I'm not so inclined to spend as much time in Europe and Eastern Europe as I used to. It was always an issue, growing up in the UK, but the anti-Jew propaganda and hatred has definitely gotten MUCH MUCH worse over the last 10 years. In Amsterdam and in London in the last few years, I've had people try to get into fights with me on the streets about being a Jew. The level of ignorance and paranoia is freakishly bizarre. These days, when I go overseas on business, I just make sure to not bring it up or draw attention to myself. It's not worth the hassle.
Amazing how so many people can be such gullible morons.
