Through social media? Let's say if a hooker has many friends(some real and some virtual) on Facebook and she starts showing off with her good lifestyle, their friends and acquaintance will start to see that and they will interrogate her about what she does.

Then she will sell them the speech about a good life, money etc and this is how they can get hooked.

The tactic of a stranger approaching someone on facebook directly and start promising wonderful things will not work because no trust has been consolidated.
