gov't (your mob as well us in the UK) are doing a sterling job, and I mean fucking outstanding job, of staving off scrutiny/pressure/anger/frustration from where it should be directed. It's genius.
get the public angry at the people who the gov't through their own decisions allow 'insert scenario here' to happen, whether it's colossal tax avoidance, immigration, housing, comparing brave soldiers and angelic nurses to football pros, and so on and so on.
