I think it is crazy to think that we would have the same rich people and the same poor people if the US were to have changed rules with say Brazil or Congo. Certain environments reward certain behavior. Some environments are easier to excel in. There is a luck element to success. You have to make the money but then you have to keep it. Neither of these are as easy as they seem.
