That makes sense ... that is what the ER is for.

John Verrier showed up at the Saint Barnabas Hospital emergency room at 10 p.m. Sunday complaining of a rash, and was found dead in the waiting area at 6:40 a.m. on Monday. An employee says that Verrier died because the hospital is understaffed, while the man's family is still pressing for answers.

Maybe, in 8 hours the guy developed symptoms but no one noticed. The ER in the Bronx late Sunday night through Monday AM, convulsing in a corner chair and they were too busy to notice ... Most of the Bronx is like a battle zone so that might be believable. Sounds like a shoot n' stab hospital.
