You've got no clue how much I want to thumbs up this.
I've been friends with this guy for well over 20 years. We grew up together. Chased the same girls, all that happy shit. I've seen him at his best, and worst, many times... And I've watched him fuck it all up every single time. It kills me. He's a great guy and great friend, but he just doesn't think.
I'm not making excuses for him.. When we next speak it's not going to be a fun conversation. Dude needs to get his shit together but it's a safe assumption that it won't happen anytime soon. In the meantime, I know I'm one of the very few people he's got left to call so he better get to understanding that I've got my own shit to deal with, none of which is self-inflicted... and all of which is my priority.
