It makes sense to me. First his neighbours have been complaining about the loud parties non-stop, and considering the prices of the houses you would want things to stay quite at least once in a while. Next considering the fact that he's young, its very likely that under age people might be there too. All the extra cops detectives might have been there to look for minors. Maybe its a bit much but it sounds like that neighbourhood's police department offers great service.
