Maybe because the UK is 11 times the size of Israel...
or maybe and much more likely, because they are BRITISH Jews that are requesting this of their own BRITISH government, not Israeli Jews? (Just FYI, not all Jews are Israeli, and not all Israeli's are Jewish). Personally, as an American who is Jewish, I don't bother trying to get involved in trying to change to policies of other governments, like the UK or Israel. I have much more chance of making some kind of change within my own country. (as little as that chance is!
