The whole "government is too big" thing is another BS talking point. The GOP and right-wing media say things like "reduce the size of the government" in order to cut funding to support programs such as community outreach programs.
And you have to admit that the GOP's efforts to make it harder to vote IS a racist thing. It's a known fact that black people tend to vote democratic. Instead of listening to the needs of the black community, they make it harder for black people to vote by cutting the number of voting machines and Jerrymandering (sp?). Then there's the insane gun laws you have in the US which are clearly in place because republican white people are afraid of black people. It's just so screwed up...
