My dad had it when I was a kid. Nasty looking thing on the side of his chest and up into his arm pit. Said it was quite painful at the time but it was treated and went away and he did not get any nerve damage or after effects of any kind. I had chicken pox twice when I was a kid, doubt i will get shingles.
