I already said the personal attacks were not needed in the original post.
With all respect to your company and your accomplishments, sometimes people stand and fight on principle. Not just in business, but in life. If it wasn't for people standing and fighting against the odds, regardless of the consequences, then much of what we consider to be important, both in this industry, and in life itself, would not be what it is today.
It was your choice to make, and you have to do what you believe was right for you, but along with that will come some second guessing by those who would have liked to see you make a different choice.
