If he had done things your way we would have rolled into both countries, removed the force (Saddam and Taliban respectively) and then left and allowed the people to determine their own future. What would have happened? I guess we can only speculate. Maybe they become countries with a stable leadership, maybe a dictator or some other extremist group comes to power. We can only guess.
