But while I DO see the manipulations you often describe I also realize I, myself, have little power over it. I just have the self-power to bob-and-weave thru the machinations of others (the best I can, I am flawed like everyone else). Thus I tend to focus my (limited) energies on things I DO have control over, like my own actions. But being a former Journalist with an extremely high level bullshit detecter, I see many of your points.
