Is that even true for you though? I can't say I know you that well, but just the fact that you even question yours at times shows you are at a higher level than most.
I've gone through this from time to time, still do. I've even applied and took a few semesters in engineering. I think it had more to do with me proving that I could do it more than the career choice. At the end of the day I know a LOT of engineers and maybe 1 or 2 of them I would consider of higher intelligence--the ones in the upper tear in the auto industry anyway. For the most part they went through the motions got some work along the way and are successful enough to pay their bills, something most of us here have already done without formal educations. I know a handful of doctors with the same story.
At the end of the day and for the most part, I don't believe we are limited to anything when it comes to learning or accomplishments.
