Well...

For example, If your company is pornfarmland.com someone is going to email [email protected] instead of [email protected] sooner or later. We get e-mails all of the time intended for the 'longer' domains of our shorter domains. Interesting reads actually.

I hate to break it to you but adding land or place every time you say a domain doesn?t make you sound any more professional, even for porn. In fact, it?s kinda weird.

Imagine people saying ?Hey check out porn farm land?. It's a bit much and exactly why its $12; its a mouthful and not easy to remember. A user will remember 'porn farm' and then the final part they will consistently forget or confuse.

A shorter more relevant domain can also contribute to a much higher click thru rate because of the perceived increased authority, it's just the nature of the internet and how people use it.

and my FINAL point is this... you put all of your time effort and money into PorFarmLand.com and you have a big site, and are generating endless revenue.... and then someone buys PornFarm.com and benefits off of all of your work.

And you will never win that WIPO/UDRP case, because it's an aged generic registered before your PornFarmLand.com domain.

The very last thing you want to happen is for a competitor to buy the most obvious version of your name.

You bought PornFarmLand.com now your advertising dollars are sending customers to PornFarm.com, your blood pressure is going up, everyone in the industry thinks PornFarm.com is your site and is getting high financial offers to buy and your wife is sending sexy messages to [email protected] and we're responding.
