Well this guy hacked the central mainframe that stores the entire Danish populations social security register and with that data, you can do A LOT of nasty things. He also obtained access to the Danish "DMV" equivalent - so he's done some pretty serious stuff.
Having said that, it's normal here to put people in solitary confinement. People sit there for years on while their case is pending a court date. The police says it's to protect their investigation, but is a very real problem - especially since most people develop a range of mental problems by that treatment and because most of them aren't really in any danger of jeopardizing said investigations.
But this guy is pretty guilty, but knowing this country he'll soon be back out and once he does get his sentence, he'll probably sit in a minimum security prison - seeing how everything else is bogged down with all the bikers and gangbangers.
