How do you solve this problem? Do you disable uppercase/lowercase altogether?
I tried placing a big ass text sign, but apparently they don't bother to read either and then email that their L/P is not working.

One option, albeit one that is not readily available all the time, is to have an automated password reset prompt the user to ask if he/she has forgotten their password. They could simply reset it themselves.
A second option may be to have the login system check for case and then return the error with an example of an cAseSENsiTiVe password format.
I know placing a sign before they try logging in would seem like it is the most obvious, but like you said, people simply do not read, they just click first. Thus, if they are promoted with a meaningful error after clicking, they may actually pay attention and thus, lessen your support.
Good luck. I recall in the 90's how many times an AOL user would email to tell me all the pics had "big spots" on them. AOL had, by default, a 256 color palette so it rendered photos horribly by default. Having to explain to people how to make their AOL useable was always fun. Good times
