Well, if you're going to be doing a lot of beats and dubstep type stuff then yeah, they can be worth it. To be honest though, if you have an ipad or ipad mini then I'd say check out logic remote first because it's quite nice as well, and could be all you need for beats and such.
Hell, I'd even go so far as to say just try out logic pro x with logic remote before buying anything else, including a midi keyboard, assuming you have an ipad of some sort. I forgot to mention it earlier heh.
