If they were to raise the wages to $10, then everyone else would want to wages raised to make up for the rising cost of living due to companies having to raise prices, then the people wanting minimum wages raised this time would want them raised again.
The left is so concerned about this it makes me sick since back in 2007, median household income was $55,438. That's declined to $51,404 in February 2013

there is a big difference between then and now being that many if not most of todays minimum wage jobs paid more than minimum wage when you were growing up.
