You can feed that cat every day the best of cat food. You can give that cat love and a warm place to sleep. You can make that cat a member of your family and board the cat with an expensive cat sitter while you are on vacation. One day you could have a heart attack right in front of the cat. As you lay dieing that cat will just look at you and after a few minutes will tire of your pleas for help. That cat will go to its bed and take a nap. The next day the cat will wake up. You will be dead. The cat won't even notice you are gone.
