Do you think that people in Kiev don't have all these things too? Are they starving? They have no cars, toys (smartphones, iPads etc) or there is no cable/IP TV in Ukraine? As about decent places to live, I bet you will get much more fun in Kiev rather than in your gloomy Miami (yeah, your beaches are cool and the Ocean is just amazing, but that's all fun you have there).
As about the money, so this is a thing which varies greatly from a person to another one. No money = no fun. But once again, in the globalized word, the money thing is also globalized. For example, I live in Moscow but I work in the Internet (literally everywhere in the World). If I move to some other city or country tomorrow, my earnings will be the same. Perhaps my expenses will change somehow (e.g. here in Russia I pay only 6% tax, I have a free medicine (don't need to pay for obamacare shit) etc).
