Back story. Riley is mentally challenged in a number of ways. He is somewhat slow, impulsive and very giving. He is also suffering from schizophrenia. When he was younger and we all went to school together the former problems were most prevalent. As he got older the later became an issue that became more and more prevalent. Because of that his family basically abandoned him.
Each December we get together and get him a hotel room so he can beat the cold. We also take him to get his meds. While on them he is a calm, cool mannered guy. We usually get enough donations to put him up until February. Around that time he feels so good from the meds he doesn't want to take them anymore and the cycle continues. But at higher temperatures.
