Thanksgiving volunteer ideas?

For the past few years, I have always been the one to cook at my house and host both my wife's and my family, which meant I had to rent tables and chairs.

Normally this fiasco starts around 6am as I put a turkey in the smoker, then one in the oil-less fryer, then a traditional OG style bird in the oven. I LOVE left overs, but also feeding 18 or so people... plus they all want left overs too

This year, I don't have to cook or do anything but show up and shovel food into mouth. It's a nice break, but it was normally something I looked forward to as I made a huge array of dishes and things for everyone to try... but this year, I'm not in the mood with recent things that happened with some of my family.

Thus, I thought what a better time than now to volunteer, right?

People always go towards a soup kitchen, which is great, but I was more leaning towards something to help out at the animal shelters, but I received NO RESPONSE to my emails or calls. All I got was a link to the signup form to be a regular volunteer. Look, I'd love to spend my time helping animals, but my days are so hectic and chaotic, I don't even know when I'll be able to sleep, let alone stick to a schedule.

So I ask the great minds here, do you have any suggestions? I have a FREE turkey (coupon from the store) and willing to buy some food/sides, but would more like to give my time than money this year, as my financial situation is a bit rough.
