Home schooled kids have to learn a basic amount of information that is given to them by the state. That is not the same as immersing them in a public school system. Not even close. That is the bare minimum they have to learn, not the full public school curriculum and all the nonsense that goes along with going to a public school.

so i guess they just make up the rest of the curriculum. sounds like a good idea. both parents and private schools have agenda, typically similar agendas that public schools have but hey, i am talking to the guy who ran away to thailand so he can buy his way out of whatever situations he finds himself in.
