Far-L, far from the truth. It has always been my opinion; even before I was a program owner, if you were doing 2 pre-checked X-Sales, you should be doing PPS.
By offering PPS, you would get better webmasters, more joins, and even if you lost money on the initials you could still make money on the x-sales.
The decision to eliminate the PPS program was done without my knowledge, because my partners knew I would oppose it. I knew that some accounts word being moved back to revshare for fraud or eliminated altogether.
I didn't know the PPS was gone until I logged in the program myself and looked.
This is a perfect example of why my partners and I parted ways. As being the "face of the company", I would be the one to ultimately look bad when things like this were uncovered.
I was a webmaster before I was a program owner. I always have been, and still am "pro-webmaster". Without good webmasters your affiliate program is nothing.
Having someone like Dan disparage me on a public board and put words in my mouth like this is very hurtful to my reputation. I worked very hard for the last 14 years to be somebody in this business. However, I could see how something like this would paint me in a bad light. That's why I would've handled this differently.
Towards the end of the OCCash relationship, there was little to no communication at all. It would've been my job to contact the webmasters to tell them we were discontinuing our PPS programs. I was never given that directive, nor was I part of the decision-making process to terminate PPS.
Sorry, you think I am bullshitting, but what I am telling you is the truth.
