My GF has a disability. If she lives with me then my income is essentially considered hers. So I can either shell out her premiums and maximums which are met every year or she gets her own place (which is for now being covered by HUD due to her disability) and she gets free healthcare all of which is obviously much less expensive. Simply put it's $10's of thousands cheaper for her to live elsewhere. Living with me everything she makes and more would go to nothing but her healthcare.
