You've never been to the Philippines.
If you had, then you would have at least an inkling idea about the abject level of corruption. The 1% stays in power and steals all of the country's money to live their lavish lifestyles, while the rest of the country remains in deep poverty with little to no chance of escape.
I would be highly skeptical about any "charity" monies going to anyone in that country, red cross or not. Organization is not that country's best trait, so you really have no idea where the money is going once it hits the ground there.
Posting these ranting posts and all the pull-at-your-heartstrings photos of dead drowned bodies does nothing to change any of the aforementioned reality.
