It's the same reason you don't shoot a car scene, then stay with the character as he parallel parks, feeds the meter, walks up the stairs to the house, unlocks the door, takes his shoes off, ect. You just cut to the next scene in the house where he's talking to his friend. A smart audience knows all that happened. Clearly pee fans are sophisticated.
