The people losing their healthcare plans had great plans for the most part.

I was talking to my brother today...his wife is a dental assistant. He works for himself as a very successful fishing captain down in Port Charlotte, Fla.

The dentist told his wife that he is dropping the insurance for all his employees. ObamaCare made it too expensive.

So now she is going to have to find other insurance.

My brother and his son had a separate health insurance policy since his wife had an employee benefit one.

But NOW, because of ObamaCare, he is going to have to drop the insurance for him and his son and get a family plan on the "Exchange".

And the plans available aren't as good as the ones they already had. AND they are going to cost him almost double what their family paid out before.

The reason? Because if she tries to get insured now...it's under ObamaCare. And it would be by herself as an individual. She makes "too much money" as a dental assistant and the cost is astronomical for their family.

And my brother can't add her to his family plan because then it is no longer "grandfathered"

So the only option they have is to all go on the "Exchange" as a family. And it's going to double the cost of what they have had to pay out monthly...and all 3 of them will have less coverage than before.

That is the kind of shit that is happening to families across the country.

EDIT: And by the way....ObamaCare requires EVERYBODY to carry maternity insurance. Even single men. Even 80 year old women. Even women who have had hysterectomies or are not fertile.
So you single guys out there...just realize that your new and "improved" health plan also requires you to pay extra for maternity insurance.
You know...in case any of you males get pregnant. lol
But as a republican, this is good. The dentist shouldn't be picking out the insurance for his employees. This is a huge plus for the USA in the long run. She didn't have cheap insurance before, the dentist was subsidizing her.
