I'd guess that the cops pretty much guaranteed the doctors they were going to find something, then when they didn't, kept pushing it further and further hoping to save face.

I'd sue everyone, the judge, the cops, the police department, the hospital, the doctors, the state, fuck em all!

due is probably pretty safe to start smuggling drugs up his ass now though, likely won't be getting searched again any time soon.
