Around 33% of my cam income for years comes from bought traffic. Lot of traffic is garbage. Takes time and wasted money to analyze and block the crap and retain the good. Most just spend money blindly, don't put the work in to analyze and tweak and then just say if it converted would it be for sale.
If looking for sales go with "Clicked Traffic" and geo filter it to high quality countries US,CA,UK,AU etc... or whatever countries your capable of billing.
Analyze either Analytics or whatever stats program your using and block the sites that send hundreds or thousands of visitors with 0:00 time on site and 100% bounce rate.
I have made money/sales with "Skimmed" and "Popunder" traffic as well but this form is generally best for boosting free sites, trades, alexa etc... actual "Clicked" geo filtered traffic is an easier sales conversion.
